António Gaspar Schwalbach

Joined SLCM in 2019 as professional partner, having previously worked as tax advisor in Deloitte and been an associate in “DLA Piper ABBC” and in “Telles Advogados”.

Professional activity focused on tax, consulting to private and corporate clients.

Significant track record including corporate restructuring operations, M&A transactions, analysis and assistance in the implementation of private wealth restructuring programs, as well as in restructuring of family property, and in support to investment operations in Portugal, financial and commercial transactions.

Has extensive experience in all phases of pre-litigation and tax litigation - from the support in the course of tax inspection actions, to the representation of clients in administrative and judicial proceedings, including before the Court of Justice of the European Union.

Participates regularly in conferences as a guest speaker.

Graduated in Law, University of Lisbon (2004). Master’s Degree in Accounting / Taxation by ISCTE - INDEG (2012), having presented a dissertation on Tax Neutrality in Corporate Restructuring Operations - The Impact of the Community Directive on National Legislation. Post-graduated in Management for Jurists by the Portuguese Catholic University (2008). Frequency of post-graduate studies in Corporate Law (2005) and Administrative and Tax Justice (2006), by the University of Coimbra.

Member of the Portuguese Bar Association since 2006.
