Dário Moura Vicente

Born in Lisbon in 1962. 

Of Counsel at SLCM since 2012, where he coordinates the Intellectual Property, Advertising and Information Society practice.

Admitted to the Portuguese Bar in 1987. Has partici­pated as arbitrator, counsel and legal expert in nearly one hundred domestic and interna­tional arbitrations (in several of which as Chairman of the Arbitral Tribunal). Vice-President of the Arbitration Centre of the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Member of the arbitration rosters of ICSID, the Lisbon and Oporto Centers for Commercial Arbitration, the Mediation and Arbitration Centre of the Brazil Chamber of Commerce (CMA-CPCB), the Cape Verde Chamber of Commerce, the Angolan Centre for Extrajudicial Resolution of Disputes and the Mozambican Center for Arbitration and Conciliation. Chairman of Portuguese Arbitration Association and of Portuguese Intellectual Property Association

Bachelor in Law (1985) and LLM (1990), Lisbon Catholic University. PhD in Law by the University of Lisbon (2000).

Full Professor (Catedrático) at the Law School of the University of Lisbon, where he has taught Civil Law (General Theory), Law of Obligations, Comparative Law, Private International Law and Intellectual Property Law, subjects on which he has written extensively. Former Visiting Professor, among other institutions, of The Hague Academy of International Law, the René Descartes University of Paris, the Complutense University of Madrid, the Università degli Studi di Urbino, the Agostinho Neto University (Luanda, Angola), the Eduardo Mondlane University (Maputo, Mozambique) and of the University of Macao.
